As always, thakns so much for sharing your ideas and your life with all of us. We've been using a system like Tyler's whiteboard for a few years with my 7 year old twins. They helped create the list (complete with their own decorations for each activity), and then they earn tickets for getting everything done. The tickets can be traded in for special rewards we've agreed on beforehand like an extra trip to the library, choosing our dinner menu, extra reading time alone with one parent, etc.. This year will be especially challenging since my oldest starts high school (which starts at 7:30am) while my 2 little ones are still in elementary school (which doesn't allow drop-off until 8:50am), and since I drive everyone to school, the start to finish time is quite long. By the time I get to work after dropping everyone off, I feel like I've already put in a full day. I think incorporating some of your morning ideas especially the early morning walk before the craziness of the day begins, will really help get our school year off to a great start! Thanks for your continued encouragement and inspiration!
